KUALA LUMPUR, 16 JANUARY – Chery Malaysia has introduced a new variant to its TIGGO 8 series, blending style, practicality, and value packed in the automotive brand’s growing SUV range.
The new seven-seater TIGGO 8 joins Chery’s expanding TIGGO family and will be the more attainable sibling to Chery’s flagship TIGGO 8 PRO and TIGGO 8 PHEV Chery Super Hybrid.

Under the hood, the TIGGO 8 packs a 1.6-litre Turbocharged Gasoline Direct Injection (TGDi) engine paired with a 7-Speed Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT), producing an impressive 197 PS (145 kW) and 290 Nm of torque, that ensures strong acceleration, smooth cruising on highways, and confident overtaking when the road demands it.
Fuel efficiency remains a key highlight, with consumption of approximately 7.0 L/100km, delivering a well-rounded balance of performance and practicality for everyday driving. Whether you are navigating city streets, going to work or cruising on long-distance balik kampung journeys this festive season, the TIGGO 8 offers comfort and confidence in every kilometre.
The TIGGO 8 measures 4,772 mm in length and 1,860 mm in width, with a 2,710 mm wheelbase that contributes to a stable and composed ride.With a curb weight of 1,590 kg and up to 1,930 litres of boot space, the SUV easily accommodates your weekend grocery run or packing your golf bags for a game on the course.
The vehicle’s power tailgate also makes loading and unloading quick and effortless with just one touch.

The TIGGO 8 is crafted to make every journey effortless and enjoyable. Inside, the vehicle’s dual-zone automatic air-conditioning ensures personalised comfort for both driver and passengers, while the power sunroof with integrated sunshade brings natural light and an open-air feel.
For an immersive audio experience, the Sony premium sound system delivers music to your ears with 8-speakers, turning every drive into a concert on wheels. While the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto keep the driver in control of navigation, music, and communication without being distracted.
The TIGGO 8 comes equipped with a 12.3-inch infotainment display and a separate 10.25-inch digital meter cluster enhancing visibility in every drive.

Safety is at the heart of the TIGGO 8’s design. Its robust structure uses 74% high-strength steel for superior protection, together with six airbags to safeguard every passenger.
The TIGGO 8 is offered with Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features which will be on-hand to provide support in the moments that matter most.
Key ADAS features such as the Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Rear Collision Warning (RCW), Door Open Warning (DOW), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)., Intelligent High Beam Control (IHC) and Distance Warning System (DWS) will operate intelligently in the background to help drivers anticipate and avoid common road hazards, while the 360° Panoramic Camera delivers improved visibility in close quarters.
