Chery Hands Over TIGGO CROSS to Contest Winner

February 24, 2026

KLANG, FEBRUARY 23, 2026 — It all began with a routine service visit that turned into anunexpected windfall for Joan Gan Cherl Wean (颜秋韻), who was named the Grand Prize winner of a Chery TIGGO CROSS Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) in Chery’s Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) Test Drive Lucky Draw contest.

Gan’s name was drawn from a pool of over 1,300 participants during a live winner
announcement streamed on Chery Malaysia’s official social media platforms.

The Klangite said she was in a meeting when she noticed her mobile phone kept ringing sensing something wasn’t right. “I had to excuse myself to answer the call, and to my surprise, it was a representative from Chery Klang, the outlet where I had test-driven a Chery TIGGO 7PHEV,” she said.

Initially thinking it was a prank, Gan said the sales team knew she would not take their word for it and subsequently sent her the video recording of the winner’s live draw session.

“This is my first time winning something from a lucky draw and it is the grand prize, this is a truly a great start for the New Year,” said the mother of two.
Gan added that her husband has been looking to change his car to an SUV and the Chery TIGGO CROSS HEV came at the perfect time.

The contest was held from 9 Dec 2025 to 6 Jan 2026 to encourage the public to test-drive any Chery PHEV vehicle and snap a photo with the vehicle after their session to stand a chance of winning prizes worth up to RM200,000, including a new Chery TIGGO CROSS HEV as the grand prize.

“We want customers to experience our PHEVs firsthand not just relying on reviews or recommendations by their friends. Once you have driven a Chery PHEV, you not only understand how it operates but also know the Chery Super Hybrid technology better. You will then be able to decide if it is the best fit for you,” said Lee Wen Hsiang, Vice President of Chery
Malaysia.

Gan has been a Chery TIGGO 7 PRO owner for over a year, admitted she joined the contest at the encouragement of staff when she sent her vehicle in for servicing.

At the prize presentation ceremony, Gan collected the new Chery TIGGO CROSS HEV alongside her mother, with family members already eagerly anticipating her latest Chery addition.

In addition to the grand prize vehicle, the campaign also saw participants walk away with a range of prizes including electrical appliances and electronic gadgets.

The contest was part of Chery’s year-end promotional campaign, which offered customers festive rewards and exclusive deals across various model lineup, reinforcing the brand’s appreciation for its growing customer community.
