KUALA LUMPUR, 23 JUNE 2026 – Chery Malaysia today officially launches the all-new Chery TIGGO 9, marking a significant milestone for the brand as it introduces its flagship SUV to the Malaysian market.

Designed to deliver a refined balance of luxury, performance, and advanced innovation, the Chery TIGGO 9 sets a new benchmark in the premium SUV segment.

More importantly, he said the vehicle represents a new chapter for the Chery brand. Lee added that the Chery TIGGO 9 is the automotive brand’s first premium offering.

“The TIGGO 9 sets a new benchmark in what we call intelligent luxury—where advanced technology, comfort, and innovation come together to create a truly elevated driving experience,” adds Lee during the launch held at iconic Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad, which was also graced by YB Sim Tze Tzin, Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry.

The new TIGGO 9 embodies sophistication and presence through its bold yet elegant design language. Its front fascia is defined by a striking 3D diamond-shaped grille, complemented by sleek LED headlights and dynamic flow lighting that enhance its modern identity.

Every detail is carefully considered, from the 20-inch luxury-designed alloy wheels that reinforce its commanding stance, to the seamless integration of flush door handles.

Refined touches such as puddle lights add a sense of occasion, while the rear design is completed with integrated taillights featuring a distinctive diamond-inspired signature.

Inside, the TIGGO 9 delivers a premium cabin experience designed for maximum comfort. Both front seats come with massage functions, while ventilated seats for the first and second rows provide added relaxation and cooling, perfect for Malaysia’s tropical climate.

Despite its performance capabilities, the TIGGO 9 maintains a fuel consumption of 8.3 litres per 100 kilometres, balancing efficiency with power.
